🎭 CURTAINFALL – The Curtain Rises Again

Some projects start with a plan.

Curtainfall never really did.

What began in 2025 as a digital experiment somewhere between late-night inspiration, theatrical storytelling, and stubborn determination has continued to evolve into something far bigger than originally imagined.

And now another milestone has been reached.

On May 16, 2026, the reimagined debut album Shadows That Remain II officially saw the light of day on Spotify.

Not merely a remaster, but a complete reconstruction of the original album. Songs were rewritten, arrangements rebuilt, and the growing Curtainfall mythology woven deeper into the music. The arrival of the mysterious clown Silas Veil reshaped the narrative, turning the album into the definitive version of the story that started it all.

Of course, anyone expecting a well-earned break clearly doesn’t know Curtainfall.

No Rest For The Slightly Obsessed

While Shadows That Remain II has only just arrived, the studio lights remain firmly switched on.

The gentlemen of Curtainfall seem entirely incapable of leaving the studio for any significant amount of time. Every finished mix appears to create three new ideas. Every completed song somehow leads to another adjustment, another arrangement, another late-night discussion about whether a piano should enter four bars earlier.

It is a dangerous way to work.

And apparently, a very effective one.

Enter: Under The Greasepaint

The second Curtainfall album, Under The Greasepaint, has now entered its final stages.

Where Shadows That Remain explored the shadows behind the mask, Under The Greasepaint ventures further into the life of the performer itself—the moments before the show, after the applause, and everything that happens when the spotlight fades and reality returns.

To offer a first glimpse into that world, the opening track:

After The Applause

is now available on Spotify.

The song sets the tone for the entire album, exploring the silence that follows recognition, the emptiness after adrenaline, and the uncomfortable moment when the performer becomes a person again.

The applause ends.

The questions begin.

The Road To September

Rather than releasing the album all at once, Curtainfall will slowly lift the curtain over the coming months.

Several additional singles are planned throughout the summer, allowing listeners to explore the world of Under The Greasepaint one chapter at a time.

If all goes according to plan—and experience suggests that is always a dangerous assumption—the complete album is expected to arrive sometime in September 2026.

Though, as every Curtainfall follower knows by now:

Plans are temporary.

Revisions are forever.

The story continues.

The spotlight fades.

The greasepaint remains.

And somewhere in the studio, long after midnight, Curtainfall is already working on the next chapter.
